Children are introduce to dynamic stretching, shooting mechanics, ball handing, and passing, etc.
Dynamic Stretching: Improving coordination and flexibility while practicing skills
Shooting: Learning how to release to finish while close to the rim and proper footwork to increase the chances of shooting the basketball straight
Passing:Learning how to chest pass, bounce pass, and skip pass
Day 2
Children will learn the techniques and fundamental skills needed to become a basketball player.
Ball Handling: stationary ball handling, learning how to dribble with eyes up, and learning how to change speeds and directions
Defense: Learning the proper footwork and defense stance to keep the offensive player in front and helping teammate of defense
Layups/Finishing: Leaning how to finish around the rim
Day 3
Children were able to combined all the skills learned in Day 1 and 2 of the 2 of the camp. Children received a Make Em' Believe wristbands,and autographed basketball, and pictures from Terence Davis.
Competitive Play and Controlled Scrimmages: Learning how to apply techniques and fundamental skills to win games
